Holy Spirit works in and through and around all of us. As New Testament Christians, we don’t look to a single person to mediate between us and God. We get to act on our own behalf! We are modern prophets.

In the Pixar movie ‘The Incredibles’ the villain Syndrome makes a statement, “when everyone’s super, no-one will be.” This statement is completely relevant to Kingdom nature. When we realize all humans are equal, and no humans are deserving of what Jesus has done for us, we realize that we are on an equal playing field. Nobody is better than anyone else. There is no hierarchy in the Kingdom.

Jesus work on the cross was an act of violent reconciliation. He so aggressively desired us to be made right with God that He took on everything.

So much of God’s ways directly challenge conventional wisdom. Human nature looks out for number 1, kingdom nature looks out for everyone. It’s not us or them, it’s us for them.

The strongest is the weakest, the first is the last, the servant of all is the leader of all… Hard to grasp, but foundational to our walk with Jesus.

Jesus died so that we could not only experience freedom, but so that we could truly be free! Human nature continually tries to rob us of that freedom.

In this life somebody is going to get the glory for the things that are done. It could be you, your boss, a co-worker, or God. In this part of Flip the script we look at where the glory goes in the Kingdom of God and why.

In this 2nd part of our introduction to the Flip the Script series: we take a deeper look into what it means that Gods thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways are higher than our ways.

God says in the book of Isaiah: “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts”. In this introduction to the Flip the Script series, we’ll take a look at how we can step aside and let God reveal His thoughts to us.
