The now California-based artists style is transparent with lyrics positioned around ordinary struggles and trials but allowing his faith to deliver inspirational confidence. Smith developed a passion for music during his junior high years and began playing organ and directing his grandfathers church choir. He became fascinated with songwriting and music production and began composing his first original compositions as young as 10 years old. Mike later moved to California for college where he continued his growth as a musician leading the University of Southern Californias, Saved By Grace Gospel Choir, as Head Director. He released his debut album in 2018 entitled "Election Day." His latest single release in 2020 is entitled "Closer" and is themed around James 4:8, drawing close to God. "Closer" delivers a retro-pop feel with intentional lyrics.
