Really Sorry - technical issues - the earlier version I loaded today had some audio problems - as a friend would say - user error - I got my settings wrong . I've done a number of them like this week and I 'll re- do them over the weekend .
Try again
The title needs a bit of explanation. A lyric in The Who's Pinball Wizard is " he's got crazy flipper fingers " . However this is not a song about The Who - this piece is based on the rhythm of a song called Pinball by Brian Protheroe - a singer songwriter from the late 70's who went on to become a well known actor. Flipper Fingers ? the great Django Reinhardt burnt his left hand in a fire and played a good proportion of his time with Stephane Grappeli and the Hot Club de Paris with two effective parts of his left hand. ( there are some photos of his hand on the internet somewhere if you're not too squeamish ). He used certain arpeggios and scale runs to great effect and I lifted some of those for this piece. That was a bit of a long winded explanation - apologies .
