What's in it for me? When we first come in to AA there is a lot of mistrust. So naturally our first thought and question is "What's in it for the Sponsor?". The answer can be found in the Chapter "Working with Others" in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. Today on the show we just flipped to a random page and this is where the discussion took us.
Lisa and Julie are just 2 sober chicks who sit down and talk recovery, AA, the 12 steps, sponsorship, and how it works for them. Their main purpose in doing this podcast is simply to carry the message of sobriety and recovery and to bring a little hope into the lives of the still suffering alcoholic. They try to live the AA Responsibility Declaration - I Am Responsible - When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I want the hand of A.A. always to be there. And for that, I am responsible.
