Flo and Candi talk about Medical Healthcare this week. They start out with a disclaimer stating they are not pros in this field so don’t take their advice as medical healthcare providers! It’s their opinion and experiences. They talk of Candi’s recent trip to the hospital and situations that should have been handled differently, when looking back. Flo’s experience with her parents hospital trips. Flo’s mom happened during Covid (she didn’t have Covid) and how that impacted Flo from being there with her mom before and after she died. Flo’s dad’s last experience with the er and because he said he didn’t want to live any more and be with his wife that had passed. The hospital brought in hospice to talk to Flo and she thought her dad was dying, when we went to the er for his upset stomach. How medical care has changed since Covid and how we blame it! How you get treated with or without insurance. How hospitals like to charge the insurance! How bigger cities are easier to get to these facilities and how inconvenient it is living in small rural areas. Flo and Candi care about your health care and want you to get the best coverage and experience. They are not saying to not get help just be aware of your rights, when in a care facility. This episode Mommy Issues 2 with Candi starts with props to Flo for holding down the fort while Candi was down. Candi is back and we thank all for the positive vibes. Candi starts out about her mom leavening her as a baby in the hands of a couple they lived with as her mom decided to go cross country to look for work. While away, Candi gets a rash and the couple panic takes her to hospital where there’s no blood relative. The couple call her maternal grandmother and she with son drive in bad weather, on his birthday through 2 states to get her. Candi stays in their home. Her mom never fights the situation until the adoption when she was 10. Candi testified on stand whom she wanted to live with as her mom stared at her. How subtle gestures from Grandma why she wouldn’t want to live with her mom anyway. How her mom moved on with another family and stayed in the basement of her mom’s (Candi’s grandmother’s) home on her new marriage/honeymoon. Candi’s Mom came up when Candi was 16,17 &18 years old each summer knowing this was ripe picking time and made friends with Candi’s friends. Doing things a mother should not do. We had a situation after mom Grandma’s funeral, literally. How mom jumped out of Candi’s car refusing to sign a paper that benefited Candi’s future and didn’t harm her mom,while her brother was in back of car. Period when they didn’t speak. After Candi’s (non biological) grandfather died it brought them back together. Phone calls that ended with them not speaking for a few days. . When Candi’s mom got diagnosed with cancer and you just try to put it all behind you. Hopefully some will get peace and know they aren’t alone if they have similar situations . This week Flo goes solo about Mommy Issues she’s endured in her precious life. Candi is a bit under the weather,but supports her from a far and will give her Mommy Issues next time. In Flo’s Episode she talks about how her mom was not diagnosed properly. She believes that her Mom’s Mental Health played a major part in how she grew up and how she views authority females today. Her mom had a distorted view on what one should look like and imposed that on her children especially Flo being she was the younger of the 5. She explains how her mom is responsible for the fearful feelings of her father (for Flo) by the words she expressed to her. Flo told of answering the phone for bill collectors (actually groomed for that particular reason). How her mom, herself, had a “hard” mother to be around. Childhood issues caused by her mother by not being allowed to skip grades and always at dr, when not ill. How she realized how much her father loved his wife after she died and we should never wait to tell them. In the end, Flo has compassion and tries to find positives of her mother that impacted her and hopes to help others that may feel the same way. She did I good job all alone. Come listen!! Flo and Candi discuss the influence that Daddy Issues have on us. Flo opens with her Walking With You Doula page on instagram and how she became a licensed Death Doula. Going into how her father was in her childhood and how his childhood affected him and whom he grew to be. Learning as time went on and his death was near. His regrets and he and Flo becoming closer and understanding of one another .Candi explores how her non existent Dad influenced her take on men she chooses in life. How her non biological grandfather was the one that made her realize to open back up and try to trust. We all fall in love for someone like our father? Is that true? We recognize the ladies that are father figures and doing it on their own. This week Flo and Candi go light. We explore our first concerts the mishaps that happened! Flo’s parents drive us away from our first concert that never happened. Can you imagine that we didn’t experience All concerts together? We didn’t plan with round trip tickets on one occasion. A bra was thrown. We got to see the city free. We planned better and a marriage happened! Some of our favorite 80’s bands like Motley Crue,Poison,White Lion,Metallica,and Guns N Roses with a few others.
