Host, Dalia Jean speaks with musician, author, and podcast host F.L. Beaty. As someone who continuously learns through life, he has had to rebuild the person he knew himself as from the bottom up in the aftermath of losing one of his children to police brutality. A deep conversation loaded with emotion is shared between Dalia and Fredrick about the journey in learning to overcome hardships, parenting in the face of racial turmoil, and how to take challenges and turn them into inspiration.
Episode Topics:
About the Guest: F.L. Beaty
F.L. Beaty found the love of writing early in childhood. Writing short stories, poems, and even creating a comic book with his twin brother Cedric where he served as a colorist and contributed to the writing of the character dialogue. As an adult he traveled between Georgia and California, settling in California for a while to focus on music writing and creation. He eventually moved back to Georgia to focus again on music, but the writing was something he could not resist. He started back writing short stories and poems. "A Broken Chains'' was his first published work as an independent author. Since then, he hosts "The Author's Alley" radio show powered by TrailBlazerz Radio, his flagship radio station. He released his second book "The Road Less Traveled" and contributes to Aspiring Authors Magazine's Facebook page as an editor. His writing can also be found on his personal blog.

Episode Topics:
About the Guest: Jenny Ambrose
Jenny Ambrose is an award winning designer, creative, and innovative thinker running an award winning design science & strategy studio, Purée Fantastico. She’s worked with large Fortune 500’s such as Old Navy, HSN, POPSUGAR, ELLE, American Greetings, Alaskan Airlines, 3M, Charles Schwab, Walgreens, Reuters, and thousands more across the last 15 years.
While she put herself through art school to “learn design the right way”, she’s actually a self taught designer and illustrator- teaching herself design through MS paint and Photoshop 5.5, and developing her own method of vector illustration out of a desire to create the images she used.
She’s taken large Fortune 500 businesses from 5M to 500M in revenue, boosted an art school’s attendance from 33%-77% and increased her small business client’s inquiries from 2x-14x.
Part scientist, part artist, and all powerhouse, Jenny knows how to sync with her client’s deepest voice and concerns and communicate the solutions as if they’d always been present (because they are!).
Whether it’s creative direction, design, illustration, copywriting, strategic problem solving or thorough research and analysis, it can be trusted that Jenny can handle it with grace, tireless expertise, and unstoppable enthusiasm.
