En: Nearby, Marek was completely absorbed in examining one of the castle's sculptures.

Sk: Absorbovaný svojimi myšlienkami, nevnímal nič okolo seba.
En: Lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice anything around him.

En: "Dear sir," Jana began as she approached a statue that dangerously resembled Marek.

En: She couldn't have known, as Marek was standing still, his eyes fixed on another statue.

En: "How does it feel to stand here for centuries, guarding this beautiful castle?"

Sk: "Marek prekvapene pozrel na Janu.
En: Marek looked at Jana with surprise.

Sk: Na chvíľu si myslel, že hovorí so skutočnou sochou.
En: For a moment, he thought she was speaking to a real statue.

Sk: Potom si uvedomil, že Janu naplno pohltila jej fantázia.
En: Then he realized that Jana's imagination had taken over completely.

Sk: "Veľmi dobre, slečno," rozhodol sa Marek hrať na sochu a nechal svoje telo stuhnúť do nesmelého úsmevu.
En: "Very well, miss," Marek decided to play along and let his body freeze into a shy smile.

Sk: "Ale moje nohy sú už trochu stuhnuté.
En: "But my legs are a bit stiff already."

Sk: "Jana sa zarazila a potom sa zasmiala, keď pochopila, čo sa stalo.
En: Jana paused, then laughed when she realized what had happened.

En: "Marek, you rascal, when did you become such a good actor?"

En: Peter, who had just returned from the other side of the castle, overheard part of their amusing exchange and joined them with a wide smile.

Sk: "Vidím, že svoje dobrodružstvá berieme veľmi vážne," poznamenal.
En: "I can see we take our adventures very seriously," he remarked.

En: As the sun slowly began to dip below the horizon, the trio reunited and shared stories of their adventures.

En: Together, they laughed at Jana's faux pas and Marek's sense of humor.

En: And so ended their exceptional day at Bratislava Castle - with their friendship even stronger and with stories to share.

En: Jana may have mistaken Marek for a statue at first, but all three of them took away much more than just an ordinary outing - they carried memories that none of them would trade for anything in the world.

Sk: Slávnosti sa začali skoro ráno a trvali až do polnoci.
En: The festivities began early in the morning and lasted until midnight.

Sk: Vôňa pečeného mäsa, sladkých koláčov a voňavých kvetov naplnila celé námestie.

En: Music played with a cheerful rhythm, and laughter and conversations of the villagers echoed everywhere.

Sk: Avšak stalo sa niečo neočakávané.
    En: However, something unexpected happened.

En: As the sun slowly set behind the hills and everyone enjoyed the feast, Lukas just wanted to quench his thirst.

En: Naturally, with beer and wine on the table, he did not expect to simply drink water.

Sk: Bez toho, aby to tušil, siahnu na fliašku čírej tekutiny a náhle z nej hltne veľký dúšok.
En: Without realizing it, he reached for a bottle of clear liquid and suddenly took a big gulp.

Sk: Lenže to nebola voda – bola to slivovica!
En: However, it was not water – it was plum brandy!

En: Although Lukas was proud of his alcohol tolerance, today he was confused enough to realize it too late.

Sk: Akoby okamih, pošepky si nejaká iskra odvahy a veselosti našla cestu do Lukášovho srdca.
En: As if in an instant, a spark of courage and cheer found its way into Lukas' heart.

En: He became the center of attention, telling stories from his youth, one joke after another, and his words, with increasingly brilliant storytelling and the laughter they evoked, echoed throughout the square.

Sk: Petrovi a Jane to najprv prišlo vtipné, no potom si uvedomili, že Lukáš sa čoraz viac zamotáva do svojich vlastných príbehov.
En: At first, Petra and Jana found it amusing, but then they realized that Lukas was getting more and more entangled in his own stories.

Sk: Petra s Jankou sa rozhodli situáciu zachrániť.
En: Petra and Jana decided to rescue the situation.

Sk: Jemne a s úsmevom na tvári viedli Lukáša na stranu a dali mu pohár čistej, osviežujúcej vode.
En: Gently and with a smile on their faces, they led Lukas aside and gave him a glass of pure, refreshing water.

En: Although he remembered little of what he had said, the whole village laughed at his storytelling for weeks, and how he mistook plum brandy for water.

En: And so, even though Lukas choked on plum brandy instead of water, the celebration continued joyously and without harm.

En: People sang and danced, and as the tale of Lukas' intoxication with refreshing plum brandy gradually faded, everyone agreed that it was one of those unforgettable moments that are the true essence of every traditional celebration in their small village.

Sk: A Lukáš?
En: And Lukas? From that day on, he was a bit more cautious when it came to choosing a drink, but his stories remained as refreshing as real plum brandy.

En: At the intersection of two narrow streets, where cobblestones glistened like pearls after a summer rain, Jana stopped with a spread-out map in her hands and looked around uncertainly, searching for the right way.

En: The innkeeper, a robust man with a white apron, smiled at them, and although it wasn't the bakery Jana was looking for, there was something about this mistake that intrigued them all.

Sk: "Možno by sme mohli ostať na pivo," navrhol Marek a s odhodlaním sa prešmykol okolo stolov naložených chrumkavými syrmi a klobásami.
En: "Maybe we could stay for a beer," suggested Marek, and with determination, he maneuvered around tables laden with crispy cheeses and sausages.

En: "Sometimes it's worth getting lost," he said thoughtfully, waiting for his glass.

Sk: Pri svetle petrolejky sa rozprúdil medzi nimi rozhovor a staršie páry vedľa nich pridávali svoje príbehy o meste, akoby im chceli pridať kúsok duše Bratislavy.
En: By the light of a oil lamp, a conversation sparked among them, and the older couples next to them added their stories about the city, as if wanting to add a piece of Bratislava's soul to them.

En: As the evening drew to a close, Jana, Peter, and Marek bid farewell to their new friends and left the tavern with smiles on their faces.

Sk: Ulice už boli pokojné, osvetlené len jemným svitom lampiónov, a hoci nenašli pekáreň, získali oveľa viac – spontánny zážitok a nečakané priateľstvá v srdci Bratislavy.
En: The streets were peaceful, illuminated only by the gentle glow of lanterns, and although they didn't find the bakery, they gained much more – a spontaneous experience and unexpected friendships in the heart of Bratislava.

    Story Transcript:

Sk: Na vrchole starého kopca, kde kráľolduje Bratislavský hrad, sa začína náš veselý príbeh.
En: At the top of the old hill, where the Bratislava Castle reigns, our cheerful story begins.

Sk: Jedného slnečného dňa sa tam vybrali traja priatelia: Jana, Peter a Lukáš, aby si užili letné popoludnie plné smiechu a objavov.
En: One sunny day, three friends set out there: Jana, Peter, and Lukáš, to enjoy a summer afternoon full of laughter and exploration.

Sk: Jana, s vlasy ako zlato a úsmevom, ktorý dokáže rozjasniť každý tieň, vzala do rúk svoj mobil, aby zachytila výnimočné momenty toho dňa.
En: Jana, with hair like gold and a smile that can brighten any shadow, took her phone in hand to capture the exceptional moments of the day.

Sk: Peter, športový muž s okuliarmi, mal tiež svoj nový mobil, o ktorom hovoril každému, kto mu len chcel počúvať.
En: Peter, a sporty man with glasses, also had his new phone, which he bragged about to anyone who would listen.

Sk: Lukáš, vždy pripravený na vtipy, ich bavil príbehmi, zatiaľ čo skúmali historické komnaty hradu.
En: Lukáš, always ready with jokes, entertained them with stories while they explored the historic chambers of the castle.

En: After a while, Jana decided it would be great to take a selfie with a view of the Danube.

Sk: Rozosmiala sa a pozvala Petra, aby sa pridal.
En: She smiled and invited Peter to join.

Sk: Vzápätí obaja vylovili svoje telefóny, no bez toho, aby si to uvedomili, Jana si vymenila svoj mobil s Petrom.
En: Soon, both pulled out their phones, but without realizing it, Jana had swapped her phone with Peter's.

Sk: Keď odchádzali z hradu, každý zahĺbený do vlastného sveta, nikto si nič nevšimol.
En: As they left the castle, each lost in their own world, no one noticed anything unusual.

Sk: Až kým Lukáš nezačal rozprávať o čudnej správe, ktorú Jana odoslala.
En: It wasn't until Lukáš started talking about a strange message Jana had sent.

En: But Jana frowned because she didn't remember sending any message.

En: That's when Peter reached for his phone to share a photo of the view, only to find garden photos and Jana's selfie on the screen, which definitely weren't his.

En: On the other hand, Jana remained puzzled as she looked at unfamiliar numbers and soccer-related messages on the phone she held.

Sk: Po chvíli zúfalej a zmätenej komunikácie si uvedomili svoju chybu.
En: After a moment of desperate and confused communication, they realized their mistake.

En: Jana's face lit up like the light on the castle walls, and both laughed at their clumsy phone swap.

Sk: Nakoniec sa stretli, vrátili si svoje telefóny a Lukáš ich celú udalosť večer opísal ešte desiatim známym.
En: In the end, they met, returned their phones and Lukáš described the whole event to ten other acquaintances that evening.

Sk: Na konci dňa, majúc späť svoje správne telefóny, sa priatelia rozlúčili pred hradom so sľubom, že si navzájom kontrolujú vrecká ešte predtým, ako urobia ďalšie selfie.
En: At the end of the day, having their correct phones back, the friends bid farewell in front of the castle, promising to check each other's pockets before taking another selfie.

En: The Bratislava Castle had witnessed many stories, but the story of Jana and Peter's mixed-up phones will be one of the funniest tales ever heard there.
