Meanwhile, you're looking at yourself like, “Ma'am, what exactly are WE doing over here?” 😂

Here's the problem: you're comparing your journey to somebody else's timeline, circumstances, opportunities, struggles—and sometimes their carefully edited highlight reel.

That's not even a fair competition!

There is only ONE you. Your experiences are different. Your timing is different. Your healing is different. And the woman you're becoming doesn't need to look like anybody else.

Part of rebuilding your self-worth is learning to appreciate another woman's success without using it as evidence that you're failing.

Her winning doesn't mean you're losing.

Her beauty doesn't diminish yours.

Her chapter 12 doesn't mean your chapter 4 is behind.

And somebody else's definition of success doesn't automatically need to become yours.

So cheer for her. Learn from her. Be inspired by her.

Then get your eyes back on YOUR assignment. 💗

Because Becoming HER isn't about becoming HER over there. It's about finally becoming YOU.

But what happens when YOU keep violating your own boundaries?

Sometimes self-neglect doesn't look like giving up on yourself.

Sometimes it looks like taking care of everybody except yourself.

Being the dependable one. Saying “I'm fine” when you're exhausted. Ignoring what your body and emotions are telling you. Putting off your goals. Saying yes when you desperately want to say no. And convincing yourself that you'll finally take care of YOU…later.

In this episode of Becoming HER: Healing, Boundaries & Self-Worth, I'm getting honest about the everyday ways self-neglect can quietly become normal—and what I'm learning about changing it.

We're talking about recognizing unhealthy patterns, establishing boundaries, paying attention to resentment, making yourself a priority without drowning in guilt, and keeping small promises to yourself.

Because here's something I'm learning on my own journey:

You cannot keep abandoning yourself and call it strength.

Taking care of yourself doesn't mean you stop loving, supporting or showing up for other people. It means you finally put yourself back on the list.

And sometimes Becoming HER starts with one simple decision:

“I will no longer disappear from my own life.”

Healing doesn't always begin with a dramatic breakthrough. Sometimes it starts with quiet moments of honesty—when you realize you've been carrying pain, people-pleasing, fear, or self-doubt for far too long.

Living in a body the world constantly feels entitled to judge can do something to you.

Too big. Too small. Too dark. Too old. Not attractive enough. Not feminine enough. Not whatever somebody else decided you were supposed to be.

And after hearing those messages long enough, sometimes we start doing the judging for them.

In this episode of Becoming HER: Healing, Boundaries & Self-Worth, I'm talking honestly about learning to heal while living in a body that hasn't always been treated kindly by the world—and recognizing the difference between wanting to improve yourself and believing you have to hate yourself until you do.

I'm still on this journey. I don't have everything figured out, and that's the point.

We're learning how to care for ourselves now, establish boundaries around how others treat us, challenge the ugly things we've learned to believe about ourselves, and stop postponing our worth until we become some future version of ourselves.

You don't have to wait until you lose the weight, change your appearance, find the relationship, get the promotion, or receive somebody else's approval to decide:

I am worthy right now.

That's what Becoming HER is about.

In this episode, I am stepping out & being very transparent about how my past experiences life shaped & served as the foundation of who I am today and will continue to become. My Fluffy'nFabulous Life is filled with a good mixture of joy, happiness, love, rejection, pain, and ultimately peace.

This story took me back to some interesting places in my childhood & demonstrated how important it is to refuse to tolerate mistreatment or any form of abuse in personal and intimate relationships. This story demonstrated how important core beliefs shape our life and the circumstances that create them.
