- Transitioning from a Flusher to a PointerNick and Tyler talk with Ryan, who is originally from North Dakota and now resides in Iowa. Ryan has ran a Boykin Spaniel, Paco, for the previous 4 hunting seasons and prior to this season he brought home an Irish Setter, Fitz! Hunting the cattail sloughs in North Dakota, Ryan has really enjoyed hunting with Paco, but SInce moving to Iowa where the hunting is much different, and from the help of his wife, Ryan chose to go with Fitz, who is already off to a good career as a hunting companion. Ryan shares a couple amazing stories from the field. - Cranbrook Oaks and the American Water Spaniel
We are excited to talk about the American Water Spaniel with Nate and Jamie from Cranbrook Oaks. Nate and Jamie have two American Water Spaniels (Winnie and Rett). They are trained as versatile dogs for the uplands and waterfowl. This is a dog breed we were unfamiliar with but Nate and Jamie have tons of information to provide. If you have questions regarding the breed, be sure to ask Nate and Jamie more about the American Water Spaniel!
Nate and Jamie both enjoy hunting other game outside of bird hunting but with Jamie's roots being from South Dakota, you know she enjoys chasing the birds! Nate is from Wisconsin and enjoys chasing those Whitetails! They talk about their bear hunting trip as well as a couple bucket list hunts.
