Nick and Tyler are joined in this episode with Josh from Upland Obsession. Josh has been in the bird dog world for a good number of years, is a big game hunter and spends many days each fall traveling to different states chasing birds. He has a term that I found amazing - he does not consider himself a bird hunter but rather a bird dogger. He is not our here trying to get those pile pics and limits but rather get his dog the work they deserve first and the number of birds second. I feel this is a great way to approach hunting.

UB enjoys the physically painful hunts and if someone says it is a hard hunt, he will be the first one wanting to try it out for himself. Tyler is joined in this episode by Rocky Watt who was born and raised in Utah. Rocky is an adult onset hunter who started with big game hunting and once he found that birds and dogs go together, he switched to bird hunting. Rocky has an elk trip planned at the end of September and he is also going to make that into a bird hunting trip. Rocky talks about his intro to dogs, the current dogs he has, and his future plans. Nick and Tyler sit down for a B.S. session to talk about Nicks progression with his new Pudelpointer, Jett! This has been an awesome experience for Nick as he transitions to learning about a new breed of dog and moving into the versatile dog world. After having 3 labs and Diesel being his best dog yet, Nick cautious to switch breeds but after hunting over a friends Pudelpointer from Sudden Valley Kennels, he knew he wanted to have a Pudelpointer of his own. We also chat about the upcoming season and what we would like to accomplish, how we are going to track our hunts, and much more!
