Fly and Field Outfitters

A good fly rod is an amazing piece of gear, and arguably the most important component to any fly anglers’ set up. The rod is our connection to the water. It enables a unique and fulfilling interaction with aquatic environments and translates the energy of the water, wind, and fish to the touch of our hands. Regardless of where we’re fishing and the species we’re chasing, our chosen fly rod is a common denominator. It is an important investment for all anglers that dictates the performance we’re capable of and the feel each experience provides. Tune in with Fly and Field Outfitters owner, Scott Cook and learn a little bit about selecting a fly rod!

Kyle and Griff sat down for a few beers and to chat about fishing Central Oregon rivers in the fall! Take a quick listen to see what Guide Service Manager, Griff Marshall recommends.

The fly fishing industry can work in funny ways sometimes. Scott and Kyle just happened to be on the same flight to Christmas Island this Spring with the owner and operator of Dave Duncan and Sons Upper Kanektok Camp. Next thing we knew, we were boarding a plane in August to experience this camp. EXPERIENCE is the keyword here. Take some time and listen to Scott and I chat about our trip to the depths of Alaska for a fly fishing trip of a lifetime.

Scott Cook had a day off the water! We took a few minutes to chat with him about what to expect on the Cascade Lake fisheries as we move into the Fall. Scott covers a few fisheries that you may be interested in, so take a quick peak!

Griff and Kyle catch up on the season and how it has been so far on the Lower Deschutes River. We chat for a few minutes about this and then dive into the main topic of discussion, Deschutes Camp Trips. One of the flagship offerings from Fly and Field Outfitters. We talk about the overall experience, gear, fishing, etc. If you are headed out fishing, turn this one on and learn a bit about Camp Trips on the Lower Deschutes River from Fly and Field Outfitters.

Check in with Shop Owner/Lake Guide Scott Cook on how the Cascade Lakes have been fishing since the lakes have opened or become more accessible over the past few weeks.
