Flyover State of Fear

Tom Green was given millions of dollars to write, direct, and act in his own movie - off the success of his MTV show. Tom decided he was going to make what many could argue to be one of the most unique and absurd comedies of all time. And thanks to Joe, the Flybois got fingered, along with Freddie.

We also talked about movie we love with problematic actors/directors, movie apocalypse we want to live in, and movies we see as utopias we want to live in.

Our resident boomer got to pick this week, and like all boomers, he is obsessed with Ridley Scott. However, not all boomers are perfect, and Brian is no exception as he had not seen 2003's Matchstick Men - starring Nic Cage, Sam Rockwell, Bruce McGill, and Alison Lohman. Well, join us as we rectify this huge flaw that Brian has carried for the past nineteen years.

We also talked about movie roles for Will Smith, Favorite Ridley Scott movies, and we swap Al Pacino/Nic Cage roles.

It is TJ's episode and it also happens to be his birthday-ish - and our special boy picked one of his favorite movies of all time; 1988's Mac and Me. Directed by Stewart Raffill and starring Christine Ebersole, Jonathan Ward, and Tina Caspary alongside Lauren Stanley and Jade Calegory. A box office bomb and universally hated by critics, partly due to ripping off E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, as well as its elaborate product placement of McDonald's and Coca-Cola - and of course, TJ loves it.

We also talked about movie rip-offs of better movies, and movies that feel that were made just your you.

Y'all's favorite Flyboi is back, he did not mess around - picking a movie so good we didn't need a pun! That is right we watched 1985's Clue. A black comedy-mystery film based on the popular board game of the same name. Directed by Jonathan Lynn, who collaborated on the script with John Landis, and produced by Debra Hill, it stars the ensemble cast of Eileen Brennan, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Mull, and Lesley Ann Warren.

We also talked about good sequels nobody talks about, worst ensembles in movies, and Joe has a pitch Game!
