Last up for International Women's Day Special (Week) is Local DJ, record label founder and recently quad skater Renáta Opprecht. Today I'm joined by Bee, a local legend who brings light in to everyones lives. A smile to die for and a work ethic unlike any normal human. It's inconceivable even to me how busy this wonderful lady is. She works mostly with a charity called Intercultural Youth Scotland or IYS for short, which helps young people from various cultural backgrounds who face barriers to success cope, adapt, thrive in Scotland. I love the work these guys do and I support anyone trying to make Scotland a more diverse and culturally accepting place. Hope you enjoy this episode.

Today's episode is Cleo, a freelance costume designer & MUM, I think that needs the capitals as I'm sure all Mum's understand how hard that's been during Covid & the lockdown periods. As a Sun-Ra fan I've recently started learning more about costume design for possible performances and was interested to getting to know more. It was a good chat but as always I left with more questions than I I had answers so I think I'll definitely be trying to get her on again. Hope you enjoy

Geraldine Sawyer aka @GertieSoyBean, is a freelance illustrator graduated from Edinburgh College of Art and now currently working out of Manchester. This was the first Time I'd gotten to speak to Geraldine after having admired her work for some time. She had worked with the homies over at Hometown Soundsystem in the past and I loved how her work just seemed to give off a dancing feeling, we spoke about this on the podcast. Madeleine is a make-up artist mostly working in stage and specialFX. She is also a roller-skater and occasional camera guy. This my second time having Maddy on the show and a pleasure as always.

Today ex-flatemate, current friend Gracie Brill is on the show. Rapper, Apprentice Joiner, creative extraordinaire and busiest person alive... an inspiration like any other. I'll let you decide what to think about this cool dude. 

2nd episode for International Womens Day is with one my longest friends and day 1 supporters Joy Incarnate. When I met the then Joey, I never would have thought that a few years later I'd be heading back to uni and starting my own business, nor did I imagine the then english lit student becoming a boss ass transgender rapper, musician and part head of a kick ass music collective. How the world changes and what a beautiful world it is. We still have a long way to go before the world has the level equality we want, but with us at it's helm, it shouldn't be much longer. Throughout this week I'll be releasing a series of podcasts recorded over the week leading up to international womens day. This first episode is with The Skateboobs, a creative skate collective of young women and non-binary people, who through content and social media spread positivity in the scene by simply getting together and having fun. I see them as being an incredible inspiration for those outside the male dominated sport and going in to the future I already see the skate scene becoming an incredibly diverse culture.
