If we've already been crucified with Christ what exactly are we putting to death in Colossians 5?  

Our life is hidden in Christ.  What does that mean?

"True worship is never self imposed, it's never initiated by the self at all.  It is instead always inspired by the one to be worshipped.  True worship is an overflow of devotion, almost completely devoid of self interest or concern at all."

Paul continues to talk about very big things in very big ways.  What does it mean to have received a circumcision not by human hands?  

it's easy to forget that the life we live in Christ is lived by faith through the Grace of God just as we received Him.  We are tempted to look for the advanced class of Christianity where we get to boast in our efforts, but Paul reminds us here that as we started so we should live.  We can depend on only one thing for our hope of Glory; Christ in us, through the Gospel of Grace.  No more and definitely no less. 

Paul begins to explore the "riches of the mystery" which is the "hope of glory."  What this means is amazing and encouraging and explains Pauls devotion and passion.

Every now and then we realize we just need something central to hold everything together.  WE long for such integrity to pull together the parts of our dis-integrating lives.  Paul tells us the key is in the Gospel 

We begin the book of Colossians as we continue to explore how to make this the year of Eternal Things.  There is at least one thing, says Paul, which will lead to greater faith and love...
