On the September 25th, 2023 edition of Notre Dame Federal Credit Union's Irish Football Fix, co-host Angelo Di Carlo chats with Notre Dame tight end and fullback Davis Sherwood about faith, family and football.

Sherwood is a native of North Carolina and will get his opportunity to return to his home state this Saturday when Notre Dame faces Duke. The last time the Irish were in North Carolina back in game 3, Sherwood scored his first career touchdown. What a moment!

He grew up a ND fan and his mom attended Notre Dame and was beyond excited when she learned Davis had earned a scholarship after coming to Notre Dame as a walk-on.

We discuss his journey with the Irish, both on and off the field, including how his faith has grown during his time at Notre Dame. Also an interesting story about having to miss his sister's wedding because she was getting married during the football season in Dublin--the problem was it was a week after Notre Dame played in Ireland.
