Imagine growing up without a father. You become a successful football player, go to college to play football and your college position coach becomes your mentor and father figure for the next 25 years.

Here's the incredible twist. As it turns out, neither of you knew that entire time that you were actually father and son.

That's the case for Notre Dame running backs coach Deland McCollough who eventually found his birth mom and then discovered his college coach at Miami of Ohio Sherman Smith was his birth father.

It's an incredible story of faith, family and football and how God works in great ways to bring a father and son together.
