  • EP 145 - Producer Beau Hill
One of the chief architects of the eighties metal scene, producer Beau Hill is our guest this week. Richie is pretty psyched since he gets to discuss some of his favorite albums with the guy who steered the ship.
Check out a fair chunk of Beau's work at http://beauhillproductions.com/
Our Track of the week is from Nightmare Records artist Siren's Cry and we bring you a track off their debut full length release Scattered Horizons.

  • EP 120 - Saxon III
Back on Episode 108 we ended our look the Saxon catalogue with Destiny. This week by popular demand we pick up with Solid Ball of Rock, Forever Free, and Dogs of War. This time we end on a high note for the band. On a future show we will continue on with our review of the catalogue as we head into some of their best releases since the classic NWOBHM days.
Our track of the week is from COLDSTEEL from their first release in twenty years "America Idle". Check out more about the band at http://www.coldsteelny.com/ or on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/coldsteelny

  • EP 108 - Saxon mk II
Back on episode 100 Richie and I covered the first 4 classic Saxon releases. This week we head into Saxon history from their 1983 release Power and the Glory to 1988's release Destiny. Some troubled tears indeed for the mighty Saxon.
This weeks track of the week is some killer thrash from Sacred Reich's Live at Wacken which just came out on Metal Blade.

  • EP 100 - Saxon Invasion
What better way to mark hitting 100 episodes than to talk about the first four Saxon albums. At one point I was considering some ran show about the entire Saxon catalog but that's crazy talk talk. In the end we decided to break it down into chunks that represent different eras of the band. I consider the first four albums with Pete Gill to be Saxon MK1. This wold also allow me to delay having to discuss Destiny for bit. Okay, I know lots of shows do some kind of best of or some other celebratory deal to mark the occasion but I guess I'm going to use this as an excuse to talk about one of my favorite bands.

  • EP 71 - Big 4 Undercard
Everyone can usually agree on the Big 4 but what about those great bands that have always been considered contenders? That's usually where the real discussion between metal fans lies. E
verybody has their own take on who belongs in that pantheon right below the Big 4 and J and I are no different.
We had total agreement on a few but in true metal fashion we had to thrash out the final spot,
