Focus on Metal episodes

  • EP 420 - Tony Montana
I know, I know last week I said we were wrapping up our classic throwback series but sometimes ya gotta accept a change in plans.
Richie was able to get bassist Tony Montana on the line to talk about the classic Great White albums, “Twice Shy” and “Hooked” as well as what’s up with Jack Russell’s Great White and Tony’s latest solo project Shadow & The Thrill.
I think that’s well worth extending the classic throwback for another week.

  • EP 419 - Harlow's Teresa Straley
This week we wrap up our month of classic throwback episodes with the guest that inspired the whole idea, Teresa Straley. Teresa was of course the vocalist for the band Harlow.
They made one self titled release in 1990 with three accompanying singles, and then they were gone. This week Teresa is on the show to give us the whole story.

First up this week we talk with Tim “Ripper” Owens. Between Spirits of Fire, The Three Tremors, and A New Revenge, Tim is one busy guy these days but he still took some time to talk with us about everything he’s currently got going on.

  • EP 412 - Face The Music
As if both Keith St John and Doug Aldrich aren’t busy enough they have managed to write and record another Burning Rain album “Face The Music”. It’s been a while since 2013’s “Epic Obsession” (see earlier busy comment) but the wait was worth it.
11 tracks of classic hard rock with all the riffs that Doug is known for. The version for Japan also includes a bonus acoustic track.
This week Doug joins us to give the rundown on the album and what else he currently has going on including The Dead Daisies and Revolution Saints.

  • EP 411 - Spirits Of Fire
Another metal double header this week as we round out what has already been a packed March. First up we have guitarist Chris Caffery who’s joining us primarily to discuss Spirits of Fire, the new project he just finished for Frontiers.
Of course he does talk about TSO and some other stuff he’s currently involved with too. Next up as promised a few shows back we have another person from Last in Line.
Phil Soussan makes his second appearance on the show and he joins us to talk about the new release from LiL, the aptly titled II. Phil has a long history in the music business so we can’t resist asking him some questions about other things he’s done too.
