It’s Groundhog Day which is actually a tradition brought over by German immigrants from Europe in the 1800s which was adapted for local conditions in Pennsylvania. While he hasn’t seen his shadow predicting an early spring, this is just one of many that families brought with them to this young country, America, and have been passed down even if the reasons or the magick originally attached to them has been lost by time.
