We look at the last section of Jesus' prayer to God the Father right before His capture. Here in John 17, Jesus distinguishes between the Kosmos (the world system bent against God) and The Kingdom (the Body of Believers bent toward God), and prays for our Oneness with the Godhead.

These were insane times for the disciples: (1) divisions among religious leaders as they were plotting to kill their leader, (2) political chaos as zealots were rioting in the streets, (3) the government was dictating outrageous laws and regulations as the Romans were strengthening their grip, (4) even friends were getting sketchy as Judas awkwardly left mid-dinner, (5) Jesus just told them He was about to leave and they couldn't follow Him, etc., (*Does any of this sound familiar???*). Jesus, knowing their anxiety, stress, and fear told them how to overcome this during these insanely difficult times.
