Today Pastor Olu brings a message called "The Sovereign God Keeps His Promise"
Pastor Olu says now that the Christmas season is upon us it's easy to get lost in the gift giving and the festivities that are often associated with Christmas.
Christmas is a time to reflect and remember that we were in a total state of sin and subject to it's consequences
but because God sent his son to die for our sins, if we accept God's free gift of salvation we don't have to suffer the consequences.
Pastor Olu says that Because God is sovereign, all powerful, all knowing and absolutely free to do whatever he wants, He keeps his promises.
Brother Omar teaches us how the Bible is to be used as an offensive tool rather than a defensive tool. Brother Omar says that the Bible, much like a Lion, doesn't need to be defended, rather needs to be let loose so that it can accomplish it's task. He says that our job as Followers of Christ is to simply let God's word out so that it can divide light from darkness or truth from falsehood and ultimately lead others to Christ.
Pastor Olu says that when we are resolved and purposed we are able to stand up against the worlds system but in order to be effective we have to be strong in what we believe in. Pastor Olu says that being strong doesn't happen instantly, he says our minds have to already be made up and our convictions in place before we are faced with issues. Pastor Olu gives us the formula for preparing ourselves so that we are principled and purposed.
Today pastor Olu brings us a message called "World Engines- Resolved to Be Citizens of the Kingdom of God"
Pastor Olu breaks down the meaning of the phrase "The world" in relation to the Bible. He also brings us 3 key areas that often trip us up as believers in Christ. These 3 areas are the lust of the llesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. Pastor Olu says that even though Satan will use these area's to temp us, we are still held accountable because the authority of God still stands!
