We also talk wrestling in the week of March 12, 2012 as The Miz loses to CM Punk despite James Roday’s ring announcing, the rumored release of Hulk Hogan’s sex tape, and Eric Young wins the TNA Knockouts tag team championships before proposing to ODB. Also, WWE just released a whole bunch of NXT talent, Mustafa Ali is back and going hard, Jinder Mahal was just killed off television, and The Ryback continues to tweet and be a dumbass. We also talk wrestling in the week of January 14, 2015 as “Wrestling with Death” debuts on WGN America, Jerry Lawler is FINALLY removed from Raw commentary, and Macho Man Randy Savage is announced to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame despite his own wishes. Also, Mickie James takes a prom photo with a fan, Kushida leaves NXT, Tony Khan announces the console video game will be called AEW: Fight Forever, & WWE signs Bret Hart in the biggest dick move ever. We also talk wrestling in the week of December 17, 2014 as CM Punk faces criticism upon joining the UFC, WWE celebrates the holidays via cartoon murder of Triple H, and the fed makes their biggest mistake to date by releasing Josh Matthews. Also, Tony Khan wages war against the anti-AEW Twitter bots, all the shock and awe of post-Wrestlemania Raw and Smackdown, and Cody cuts a weird promo! We ate Smackadillas! WHO is Ezekiel?!

This week we VEER off course from our lore keeping journey of Lucha Underground, as we stop to talk about everything that was Wrestlemania weekend. 

We were live in attendance for ROH Supercard of Honor, Joey Janela’s Spring Break p.ii, and both nights of Wrestlemania 38 all live in Dallas, Texas! Listen as we tiredly talk about all the shows we attended, our favorite matches, and just hanging out in Dallas. 

The weekend was exhausting… we are exhausted… but! We saw the Briscoes fight FTR, we fell in love with Blake Christian, witnessed Cody’s return to WWE, and saw Vince McMahon take a jaw dropping stunner from Stone Cold Steve Austin. This weekend was packed. We had fun… Now we sleep.

Most importantly, though, we recap the 2014 WWE Slammy Awards. Why didn’t Brie Bella die in the womb? Why is @Ryback22 nominated for best Twitter handle?? We take a detour on our lore keeping journey on Following Lucha this week by watching and analyzing the WWE Studios 2016 Film “Countdown,” starring Dolph Ziggler and a gun-wielding Rusev.

Straight up, the movie was boring, uninteresting, and had very few redeeming or embarrassingly bad qualities. Kane is in it, I guess. We also talk current events in  wrestling this week, as Cody officially(?) signs with WWE, AEW ghosts Joey Janela & Marko Stunt, and NXT 2.0 goes crazy with Rey Mysterio and Dominik showing up. Also, Thunder Rosa is new AEW women’s world champ, Edge has a new theme song, and Rok-C signs with WWE! Who is CSRO?? Who wants a Smackadilla?!
