Jesus famously called his disciples to a new life by saying, “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men,” and within six months he sent them ahead in pairs to invite people into the Kingdom. Often we feel we don’t have the maturity, intelligence, or courage to speak in a way that God could use, but Paul encourages us to realize that we already have all the resources we need to receive Jesus and share the good news with others.

You are KNOWN and LOVED by Jesus. His Love for you is not a tool for the journey, it is the point of the journey.

Often we are slow to praise God when life is good, and reluctant to praise when life is difficult. In the scene just following God’s decisive Red Sea victory, we see what it looks like to turn good moments into praise and difficult moments into opportunities for deeper relationship with God.

The ten plagues tell the story of an epic showdown between the forces of good and evil. The journey to freedom is a process that can be lengthy and difficult. Although God has paid for and promised our freedom, victory doesn't come instantly. The key to moving forward with God towards freedom is humility.

God is doing something around us and he invites us to be a part of it. Even if we don’t feel like we have what it takes to participate with Him, when he invites, he equips and provides. And when obstacles come, and surely they will, we can lean in and persevere, knowing his Presence is with us.

As we pursue maturity in Jesus together, the first Psalm invites us to recognize the power of the influences we allow into our lives. Carelessly allowing the council of the ungodly into our lives can lead us down a path where we get stuck. True freedom comes as we learn to delight in God's instruction and, moment by moment, seek to apply it in our lives. A growing relationship with Jesus is the only path to true blessing and prosperity in the ups and downs of life.
