Our faith in Jesus Christ allows us to both fend off the spiritual attack of the enemy, but it allows us to press forward into the challenges of this life as well. The power of this faith in Jesus is that the battle has already been won - Jesus has been victorious and provided our salvation! Surrender yourself to Him in a new way today.

The enemy of our souls is on the offensive and is out to steal, kill, and destroy. His strategy involves assaulting us with lies that weaken our defenses by causing us to doubt our security in Christ. The shield of faith and helmet of salvation are essential defensive resources that enable us to withstand the enemy’s attack. We outfit ourselves with the sword and shield when we cling in faith to a biblical perspective on God’s work in our lives.

Our world is full of problems that are far bigger than our intelligence or strength, even if we all work together. What is a follower of Jesus to do in the shadow of such overwhelming brokenness? The breastplate and shoes of Ephesians 6 give us a bit of a roadmap. We can experience healthy engagement against this world’s darkness as we mature in godly character, grow as effective witnesses, and trust God with the “heavy lifting.” We are encouraged the live the life, to tell the story, to shine God’s light.

At the front and end of the list of armour, we find God’s truth and God’s word. Beginning in the third chapter of Genesis, there have been voices in our world that have asked, “Did God really say that?” And yet, despite great opposition, the word of God, living in Jesus Christ, revealed in the Holy Scriptures, and spoken to our hearts by the Spirit, is the only clear path we have of knowing who God truly is, responding to him to receive salvation, and growing daily in living the purposes he has for us on earth. What might it look like for you to “put on” the full armour of God, committing more deeply to living in alignment with God’s truth?

When you reflect on your experiences with church and Christian community, what memories come to mind? Scripture never says church is easy, but it teaches that Christian community is essential for growing in Christ, that it’s fruitful to help transform our lives, and that it’s beautiful when we get the right perspective on it. This message explores practical ways to dig into church without minimizing the hard parts.

What’s powering you these days? Where do you go for refreshed strength? In Ephesians 6 Paul pleads with us to “put on” the armour of God, and to be strong in God’s mighty power. God’s strength is necessary and available, but will we put it on and use it for its intended purpose?

Every disciple of Jesus has been enrolled in the “school of Jesus” and called to learn from him. It is important for each one of us as students of Jesus to pay attention to what we’re learning, who we’re learning it from, and what we’re doing with what we’re learning.

No matter WHO you are or WHERE you've been -- Christ's invitation is Fresh...for YOU!! When you truly take that first step of Faith AND Trust His Word --LOOK OUT!! You, too, will change -- forever!!

Change is the beginning of transformation but transformation is so much deeper than change. You can spend so much time trying to change that you never experience transformation. Transformation is what God is wanting for your life.

Some people go through life bearing the burden of stigmas that define how they are viewed by others—and all too often even by themselves. Many times, this leaves individuals feeling excluded and forgotten. This week’s passage tells the story of one woman who carried a burden of suffering and shame for twelve years. However, we see Jesus transforming her story. This message conveys hope to those who presently are suffering in silence and highlights how Jesus sees those who our society tends to stigmatize. It calls the church to be a community of care that reflects the heart of Jesus.
