Jesus said, Blessed are those who hear the Word of God and obey it. –Luke 11:28.... The Lord called to Moses from the mountain and said, “Give these instructions to thefamily of Jacob; announce it to the descendants of Israel: –Exodus 19:3 (NLT)‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians. You know how I carried you on eagles’ wingsand brought you to myself. –Exodus 19:4 (NLT)Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure fromamong all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me. –Exodus 19:5 (NLT)And you will be my kingdom of priests, my holy nation.’ This is the message you must giveto the people of Israel.” –Exodus 19:6 (NLT)The people all responded together, “We will do everything the Lord has said.” So Mosesbrought their answer back to the Lord. Exodus 19:7-8 (NIV)On the morning of the third day, thunder roared and lightning flashed, and a dense cloudcame down on the mountain. There was a long, loud blast from a ram’s horn, and all thepeople trembled. –Exodus 19:16 (NLT)All of Mount Sinai was covered with smoke because the Lord had descended on it in theform of fire. The smoke billowed into the sky like smoke from a brick kiln, and the wholemountain shook violently. –Exodus 19:18 (NLT)As the blast of the ram’s horn grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God thunderedhis reply. –Exodus 19:19 (NLT)The Lord came down on the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of themountain. So Moses climbed the mountain. –Exodus 19:20 (NLT)When the people saw how long it was taking Moses to come back down the mountain,they gathered around Aaron. “Come on,” they said, “make us some gods who can lead us.We don’t know what happened to this fellow Moses, who brought us here from the land ofEgypt.” –Exodus 32:1 (NLT)“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear muchfruit; apart from me you can do nothing. –John 15:5 (NLT)Ask yourself: What is the focus of your story? How much of your story is Jesus’ story?
