Beloved, you have power. You are not waiting for power to arrive. It is already within you—waiting to be trusted, expressed, and lived out.

God singled out Abraham and chose to bless him because of his obedience. In the same way, God established a covenant with David and his descendants because of the deep reverence David had for Him. The devotion, faith, and surrender of both Abraham and David positioned not only their lives but also their generations for lasting blessings. This shows us a powerful truth: our walk with God does not affect us alone—it extends beyond us.

Just as Jesus lived intentionally and surrendered fully, we too are called to walk in purpose, trusting that God can use every part of our journey for His glory.

The Lord Almighty has sworn, “Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will happen.

We often lean on our own understanding and are very meticulous in our plans. We try to navigate our way through life based on our own wisdom. But King Solomon reminds us to “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths”.

Intercession is not an option for a believer, it is a duty. It is not just about pleading a cause and getting answers. When we intercede, we don’t just get answers to prayers but we become answers. We gain knowledge and insight into solutions. We grow in determination and strength to see our battles through to the end.

Today's lesson is focused on the Samaritan woman at the well. As in the days of the Samaritan woman at the well, it is common for us to judge people whom we consider sinful. We are quick to judge people without knowing their stories. Even when we know their story, we lack the discernment to know the person’s pressing needs.

A merry spirit is not loud or shallow—it is deep, steady, and resilient. It is the kind of joy that doesn’t depend on perfect circumstances but flows from a heart anchored in hope. As it is written in Proverbs 17 vs 22, A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

After his remarkable triumph on Mount Carmel, where God proved His power over the prophets of Baal, Elijah found himself running into the wilderness—afraid, drained, and overwhelmed. In a moment, the bold prophet who had stood fearlessly before crowds now felt alone and defeated. He began to believe that his efforts had been in vain, that no one remained faithful, and that his situation was hopeless. This is the subtle but powerful effect of self-pity—it distorts reality, making us feel isolated and rendering our victories insignificant.

When God promises a thing, He won't fail to bring it to pass. Although the promise may tarry, it will be fulfilled at the appointed time. A promise from God is different from a man-made promise. With man, you are just one disappointment or one offence away from not receiving the promise. But God is not like that.
