"Why does God allow the wicked to prosper in their evil, while leaving me to languish despite my righteousness?"

Aren’t we Christians, not just God’s children, but Christ’s Bride? (Revelations 19: 6-9)

‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’

Much of hip hop music, rock music and music videos suggest sexual activity, partial or complete nudity, filthy language and promotes materialism. Listening to such music and watching such videos each day stirs lust within us and when lust hath conceived it brings forth sin.

“Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Some of us are just like Martha. We let our busy lives of service distract us from spending time with Jesus through the study of His word, meditation and prayer.

Often times, we set goals for ourselves and carefully organise our lives such that when we experience some delay, we get frustrated and backslide. While it is good to make plans and set goals, we must realise that God is the Master Planner. There is an appointed time for everything. You may be short of time in actualising your goals, but God is always right on time in bringing them to pass.

You can't ever find a friend like the lowly Jesus nor a father so caring like the Almighty God. As you build relationships this year and increase your network, ensure that you have a solid relationship with God.

Today, we thank God for the gift of life. We thank Him for His loving kindness and tender mercies. We pray that the words of our mouth and the meditations of our heart be acceptable in your sight. May our words edify the hearer and glorify you at all times in Jesus name, amen.
