On today’s episode, we are joined by Tara Imerson. Tara is a personal trainer for both land and water as well as a consultant for weight management. She has been a fitness instructor since 1991 having worked in both Toronto and Orangeville and now works independently. She not only trains individuals, but is an athlete herself, having recently returned from the world Kettlebell Championships in Budapest Hungary, bringing home the gold medal for Canada! On today's episode we are joined by Dr. Matt Miller. Matt did his undergraduate degree at Acadia University, his masters at Memorial, another undergrad at Sheridan College and his PhD at Concordia University. Matt is an instructor in the School of Kinesiology at Acadia University teaching anatomy and physical activity related courses. He is a certified Athletic Therapist and has expertise in the area of physical literacy in children and adolescents. We sit down at discuss physical literacy and kids; how literacy prevents injury.
