On today's podcast we talk to the amazing visionary and seasoned entrepreneur Mike Casey.  Mike is a co founder of New Zealand Zero (NZ0.com) and forestlodge.nz -  organisations focused on zero fossil fuel food production. Mike's passion for sustainability and supporting endeavours that help ensure the longevity of this planet are truly inspiring. 

Mike was born in New Zealand and began his career as a Java Developer and programmer. Mike moved to Sydney and was one of the founders of Fishburners, one of Australia’s longest-enduring and largest tech startup communities,  Fishburners is an organisation helping tech entrepreneurs and their teams with the earliest stages of building and growing a successful technology business.
 
Mike was also one of the founders GradConnection in 2008 that helps to connect university graduates with top employers. GradConnection is one of the most successful graduate recruitment sites across Australia, South Africa, U.K., U.S.A. and Asia. GradConnection was then acquired by SEEK in 2019.
 
Returning to New Zealand, Mike and business partner and friend Michiel Reuvecamp founded New Zealand Zero – a company born from a desire, and need, to eliminate fossil fuel used in the growing and harvesting of produce. Their first project Forest Lodge Orchard, is focused on demonstrating the success of an electrified orchard and to reinforce the potential and viability of fossil fuel free grown produce.

Mike is also a regular investor in New Zealand and Australian startups with a focus on climate and emissions reduction technology.
