Dealing with toxic people is never easy. If you are spending holidays with your family and you already know things might go wrong, you need to be prepared. I understand these events can be challenging, emotionally exhausting and overwhelming but remember, there are some things you CAN control.
Your reactions and behavior can be key to making this event more pleasurable and enjoyable or at least bearable. First, you need to understand what’s behind that toxic relationship. Is the reason for that the distance you put between yourself and them or is it something else?
