This week, I had the chance to talk with Paralympian Gold Medallist Laurence Whiteley MBE. He and I chatted about his childhood playing sport, his teenage cancer that resulted in his disability. Then his attempt to compete at the 2012 Paralympics in Swimming, before he started his career in rowing. Which he and his rowing partner, Lauren Rowles, then achieved the dream everyone has of winning Gold and setting a world record. And then the comedown from working to hard to then normal life back in the UK.
