No Burak Sezgin or Özer Dindjer this week, meaning the duo of Kaan Bayazit and Umut Naderi did the heavy lifting on this week's episode of Football á la Turca.

And joining us this week as our featured guest is beIN SPORTS USA's George D. Metellus, who covers the Turkish league games and hosts the highlight show alongside Eric Krakauer. We delve in to how George got started in the business of football coverage, how he got in to football in general, his favourite teams and his impressions of the Turkish League.

We also discuss George's perceived differences between the Turkish league and the rest of the European top 5 leagues, what Turkish clubs could do to increase their profile in the United States and much, much more.

  • Football á la Turca - S1E16 (June 4th 2019) The News: Abdullah Avci and Adem Ljajic join Besiktas, HAK to West Ham? And the Internaitonal break.

Unfortunately due to technical difficulties with our recording software this week's episode's raw recording was rendered useless, so Kaan had to do record a quick 15 minute summary of what would've been our episode this week. We apologies for not being able to provide you with your usual 1 hour+ of Turkish football goodness this week, but we promise to make it up to you in the coming weeks. In the meantime, we hope you will enjoy the festivities of this week and wish you all a very happy Bayram!
