Over the course of the decade, football has seen a rise in not just participants but also in fans. People who never watched or liked football prior to 2006, have started to jump on the football bandwagon. One such person Football Access interviewed early this year is a man originally from country Victoria called "Brett". He talks about how he started to like football, Melbourne Victory, the Socceroos and what he thinks of the A-League.
The term "Euro Snob" is given to football fans in Australia who are die hard football fanatics but have little to no interest in the A-League. They love the game of football and want football to grow and get better, however they see the A-League as of an extremely poor quality and thus don't actively support it. They rather concentrate and support their teams in Europe rather than support a team locally. Football Access spoke with a proud "Euro Snob" called Mathew about why he is proud to be one and the reasons why.
