In the Season Finale for 2024, Susan and Kathryn do a live recording! Plus… it’s Susan’s birthday! They celebrate by recapping the Cats performance in the preliminary finals (look out for Susan’s descriptions of listening to frogs, rather than the final quarter), the 2024 season-that-was, and hopes for the 2025 season.
Thanks to everyone who listened and/or submitted questions this year, and joined in for a whole lot of football-shaped silliness.

Kathryn interviews a newly energised Susan in the midst of what we hope is a winning streak, as they discuss the Cats' latest games against Carlton, Essendon and Hawthorn. They also chat about which players she saw at the supermarket, pies of the world, and Kathryn learns what a ruckman is after 4 seasons of this podcast. Watch for a special appearance by resident Collingwood supporter Jarrod Bates.

With the Cats having a week off from games, Kathryn interviews a ‘still zen’ Susan about Geelong's last two games against Richmond and Sydney. They discuss her latest supermarket player sightings (and her corresponding behaviour) and tackle important questions such as ‘what is a banana kick?’ and ‘how on earth could my eldest daughter tip against the Cats?”.

In their 35th episode (!), Kathryn interviews an increasingly zen Susan about the Cats’ current losing streak, including their most recent loss to the GWS Giants. They also discuss the emotional benefits of taking a 6 year old to the game, ground-rules for chatting to players at the supermarket, and who is allowed to complain about umpires. Plus more about the A-League Grand Final than anyone could or should have expected in a footy podcast.

In this episode Kathryn interviews a philosophical Susan about the Cats’ first loss of the season, as well as debriefing their two previous wins against Brisbane and Carlton. They discuss at what point Jarrod’s ‘dramatic readings’ could become hurtful, how ‘dew’ is affecting Geelong’s performance, and a fair amount of family holiday logistics.

In this most interesting episode yet (according to co-host Kathryn that is), Susan and Kathryn debrief the Cats' last 2 wins and prepare for the upcoming game against North Melbourne. They discuss important things like 'what is a shin-boner', the weather (did someone say interesting!?), and exactly what state is Susan's lid in after 4 wins? In addition you can enjoy a dramatic reading from resident Collingwood supporter Jarrod Bates, and as always Susan answering questions from listeners.

Susan and Kathryn kick off for for 2024! They address important issues like: who is Susan? What is this podcast? They break down the first two games of the Season (Geelong games that is) including Geelong's glorious wins against St Kilda and Adelaide. You can look forward to a 'dramatic reading' of Susan's most recent letter to the Geelong Football Club (from a Collingwood supporter impersonating David Attenborough), Susan answering questions from listeners, and as always Susan and Kathryn discussing what's for dinner. Queue siren!

This is the final ep for 2022, and I (Kathryn) have had a lovely season of chatting with my mum and being silly. Thanks to everyone who listened and also those who sent in questions!
