In this part of our Advent series, we look at Joy. What is this great joy that we hear of in Luke 2:10? We know that it’s not happiness, denial, or based upon our circumstances. Great joy begins with salvation through Jesus.

This week we look at Peace as part of our Advent series. In the song, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, there’s a powerful line, “God and sinners reconciled.” God made a way through reconciliation for us to experience peace on earth.

The thrill of hope can feel like riding a roller coaster. Not knowing what’s next is thrilling but sometimes we also experience fear. Putting all our faith in Jesus is the ultimate thrill of hope.

In Genesis 17, Abram meets with God Almighty. The all-powerful and all-benevolent Almighty God gives new life to something dead. This is why there is always hope for life.

In Genesis 16, we see how Abram and Sarai deal with waiting by running ahead of God instead of turning to Him. Amazingly, we learn that even when people run away from God, He is on a personal rescue mission to find us.

In Genesis 15, God made a promise to Abraham. He chose to trust Him even though it didn't make sense. We experience doubt when our circumstance don't match God's promises to us, but that's when we choose to believe in faith.

This week, as we look at Genesis 14, we will follow Abraham and Lot to see their wise and foolish decision-making. We can learn from them how to make wise decisions in our own lives.

Abraham returned to faith after a spiritual failure in Genesis 12. When he's faced with discouraging obstacles, he has another choice to make. He chooses to trust God to keep His promises.

This week, we begin our series on the life of Abraham in Genesis 12. In this chapter, we see the beginning of God’s redemptive plan for the entire world in the incredible promises God makes to Abraham.
