What a fantastic well written book. Very inspiring!
Beautiful!
I loved this book. It made me smile, laugh and cry. You can't get better than that in anything! It's the story of a dying man, Tom, deciding not to die in a hospital bed. So he pulls out his IV and leaves. This is the story of how he decided his last days would be. I wasn't expecting it to be so uplifting. But it was.
Heartwarming with flaws
The main character and I are about the same age and share a love of running as well as a first name. Fortunately my health is much better than his and my wife is still very much alive.
The concept of the book was fantastic. What better way to go than to put on your favorite running clothes, lace up the running shoes, and hit the road for one last run? The story is as heartwarming as can be, and I laughed and cried my way through the book. That said, some of the exertions seemed a little much for a man in his condition, and the editing is really bad. Still, I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to others.

Tom is near the end of his life, but there are a few loose ends to tie up. With courage, spunk, and humor he begins his last run. Family, including pets and his doctor join in the journey with unexpected stops along the way. He trudged on with purpose in his mind, as his failing health threatens his ability to finish his marathon, he will not give in or give up. A heartwarming story of love, and forgiveness, truly one of the best reads in a long time!!
