Jemma is the co-founder and CEO of Stories Behind Things, an online platform that champions sustainable, conscious living.
One Saturday morning in her very zen East London flat, Jemma and I sat down to discuss how she became the woman she is today.
We touch on her childhood as a dreamer and how she found the fashion industry as an ‘obvious’ fusion of psychology, art and business. She talks about her mother’s two battles with breast cancer and how Jemma’s responses to this differed between childhood and adulthood.
We discuss the inspiring work that she is doing now with Stories Behind Things and how ‘Stories’, as she affectionately calls it, came to be.
Stories Behind Things can be found on Instagram at @storiesbehindthings and Jemma is @jemmafinch_.
Jemma also mentions Hurr in this episode, an online peer to peer clothing rental platform. They can be found at @Hurr. I have a couple of dresses available on there, if you’ll excuse the cheeky plug.
