For His Name

NOTES
Psalm 23:1-4Key Points
We do what we do for His name.Serving isn’t our job, it’s our joy.Serving isn’t what we do, it’s who we are.We serve to make His name known!1) In Psalm 23, we are told God guides us “for His name’s sake.” How does understanding that our service is ultimately for God’s name (and not our own recognition) change the way we approach serving others?
2) Jesus washed the disciples’ feet—even though it was uncomfortable and humbling. What “towels” might God be asking you to pick up today, even if it feels inconvenient or beneath you?
3) “Serving isn’t our job, it’s our joy.” How have you experienced joy through serving, and what makes serving from joy different than serving out of obligation?
4) In what ways are we tempted to seek notoriety in our acts of service rather than simply pointing people to Jesus?
5) Jesus said, “Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them” (John 13:17). What do you think He meant by being “blessed” in this context, and how might serving others for His name bring blessing into both your life and theirs?
