WARNING: VERY LOUD AND FUZZY In this episode, I have the privilege to interview Dr. Scribner. Thank you for letting me post these rambling podcasts of me talking about events and ideas I am passionate about!

Today I am interviewing my two best friends and roommates, Sarah and Hannah. They both provide exciting points of view on this topic; Sarah having lived in Portland, Oregon for most of her life, and Hannah growing up with me in NEA.

I wanted to add a disclaimer: we know there are people that have experienced a different side of the south based on their skin color, sexuality, or religion. We wanted to compile together some contributions to these experiences and do not want to come across in a negative light. We acknowledge our privilege and understand that we will never have to face what these people do.

For this episode, I am watching the movie The Patriot, starring hunky Mel Gibson and Heath Ledger. This was MY childhood movie, and despite the blood and gore, I can see why. In this episode, I try to touch on aspects of the film I noticed that pertain to Scribner's HIST 2301 class. Enjoy!
