Do Nigerians actually not understand mental health or are we just afraid to talk about it?
This week it’s just tee and fortune on the pod (honourable mention to Davido as well!) and they get into a very serious conversation that we all should be having. This week they’re doing a deep dive on Nigerians and mental health. Before they get into the episode, tee shares a little fashion tip for the men on colour combos and shares her favourite thing on the internet currently. Some really interesting would-you-rathers were also done just before they got into the main agenda of the episode. Discussions were had on the need for more mental health and emotional awareness among Nigerians, the reasons why it seems Nigerians don’t like to talk about their emotions, and why it seems there’s so much stigma around the topic of mental health. They also talk about the lack of vulnerability in male friendships and why more men need to be more vulnerable in their friendships. The episode ends by them giving us some ways to improve our mental health. Be sure to give this episode a listen because it’s a much needed conversation we should be having and it certainly is one for the books!
