The guys are joined by a very special guest today, but if only Connor could remember his name...oh, that's right! Lewis Howlett is on the show today to discuss George Orwell's 1984 with his big brother. Joey considers the Tommy Tiernan Show; Peter taps his toe to the folk melodies of Laura Marling, and Connor nibbles on some delicious baked plantain. FYC is back with a new sense of life after a long winter's hibernation. The Waterpark has been closed down after running out of rubber dinghies, but season 7 of For Your Consideration is moving forward with a bit of spring in its step. 

We're back to basics with considerations and reconsiderations, and on today's show (published a little after being recorded, so some of the information may be somewhat dated), James McCleary is back in the guest chair. This time, he's not having another pop at Christopher Nolan but discussing Apple TV+'s delightful Ted Lasso. Joey is excited about the new season of Taskmaster on Channel 4; Connor recommends Judas and the Black Messiah as a must-watch watch at home whilst the cinemas are still shut, and Peter once again (re)considers Arlo Parks, who since the closure of the Waterpark has released her début album, Collapsed in Sunbeams. Tune in to hear some delightful birdsong (hello to Jason Isaacs) and to find out what native Irish flora Peter, Joey and James are in Connor's twisted mind.

For the season finale, Markéta Ní Eithir enters the Diving Pool to discuss just what makes Marilyn Monroe so captivating to watch on screen.  In Splash Zone, Peter discusses Dolly Alderton's début novel, Ghosts (2020). Joey listens to Bob Dylan get in the Christmas spirit with Christmas in the Heart (2009) whilst Connor feels at home listening to The Yobs' punk rendition of 'Silent Night/Stille Nacht' and considers classic punk covers (also check out 'Twelve Days of Christmas' by The Yobs for some real festive cheer).  Plus, the guys get festive and discuss their favourite non-punk Christmas tunes, and Connor reveals some of the strange things he would eat in the cinema as a teenager.

In our sixth section of Movember Considerations, Savvy Hanna gets a consideration of the 4 Chrises, and a mysterious James McClintosh requests a consideration of 1 man versus 100 killer penguins on an island, thanks to their generous donations to our campaign. In Splash Zone, Connor fondly reminisces over poohsticks and laments the lack of bridges in Dublin, forgetting the Ha'penny bridge like an absolute plonker. Joey listens to Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, whilst Peter is profoundly moved by Asif Kapadia's documentary character studies of Senna (2010) and Diego Maradona (2019).
