We watched The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.  This thing is an R Rated musical.  We knew Burt Reynolds would show up eventually, but I don't think that this is how we assumed.  Also, have we mentioned that St Dolly Parton is in this thing.  We shouldn't have to say more, but we go on for a bit.  We talk about Zack getting busted cussin, and Jenny going into Fredericks of Hollywood.  We talk about how everyone from Texas A&M is a degenerate while wondering if aliens have peckers.  

Come on down and sit a spell.  We have a romp with a rough and tumble sheriff.  There is the madame with a heart of gold.  Dom Delouise and Gomer freaking Pyle are in this.  Ladies, if you aren't lucky enough to be married to someone who loves musical theater, this one probably has enough boobies to keep your guy interested.  Finally, this is the movie debut of "I Will Always Love You."  Watch this movie and then go on a journey with us.

This week we look back at the unanswered questions from our discussion of the 1981/82 film Porky's.  Zack goes a little funny trying to figure out where the fictional town of Angel Falls really is and where Porky's would have to be located in order for the geography all to work out.  This is a tough one, because most of the questions we asked had really simple answers that didn't lead down deep dark holes of the internet.  Spoiler Alert, the fact of the podcast for the last couple of weeks is that there was a Porky's video game for the Atari 2600.  Listen on to hear Jenny react to Zack playing the thing.

Wow...  This one...  Things are different 40 years later.  In this episode we look back at a film that Zack turned off on basic cable because he was afraid it was too dirty.  This is a film that was a huge commercial success that basically made A Christmas Story able to happen.  It is racist, homophobic, and has a view on women that would have been outdated even in it's setting.  But it also made Zack almost fall off the couch laughing.  This is the birth of the teen sex comedy and is influential in a way that much better movies could only hope to be.

Buckle in people, we are all over the place in this one.  We start off detouring into our Valentine's Day date at the Forbidden Ballet.  We talk about the history of filmmaker, Adrian Lyne (the first 2 time director on our list, but we will see him again).  We talk about the year's awards season and Jenny can't figure out the difference between Empire in the Sun and The Last Emperor.  Zack deep dives etiquette manuals to try to figure out the right way to eat spaghetti.  We discuss the potential DSM-IV diagnoses that could be applied to the film and talk about the British slang term "Bunny Boiler".  We go deep on the laws of stalking, spousal abuse, and rape in our home state and find some encouraging and shameful statistics. 

We discuss how prolific a year 1987 has been for our podcast and how Zack has basically "worn out his Playboys" so we have to really go deep on the Washington PA Observer Reporter.  We find some real gems and share them with the world.

We return once again to 1987 and to Michael Douglas as we evaluate Fatal Attraction for this Valentine's Day Week.  We go deep on Donald Ducking Douglas and some of his fashion choices.  We spend an inordinate amount of time talking about how good of a boy Quincy the Dog is and how scared we are for his well being.  We divert into the best high school lunch trade and talk about times where something big happened when we were somewhere we weren't supposed to be.  We compare the D grabbing techniques of Glenn Close to that of Madonna and Julia Roberts.  We use Glenn Close's technique to compare the unknown variable of Michael Douglas's size and shape to the known variable of Dafoe and Gere.  This is some classy stuff here, people!

Welcome back to Going Deeper with your Forbidden Cinema crew.  Today Zack gets into the weeds looking at the careers of some of the minor cast members of the film.  We actually find some opinions on diverse representation in the film from the time it was released.  Zack goes crazy deep looking at the career of the Crystals and our favorite wacky murder producer Phil Spector.  We also look at some of the filming locations and uncover the fantastically seedy history of The Silver Dollar Room.

Come back with us to 1987 where an early example of the PG-13 movie first introduced a generation of children to the concept of men's magazines and a certain word starting with the letter F.  We look back at how the world has changed in the time since the release and continue our path of nostalgia.  We try to figure out who this movie was really for and what a 17 year old would reasonably be able to handle in a wacky night.  We once again experience the trope of criminals escalating to mass child murder really quickly.  Remember... Don't FOOL with the babysitter.

Brace yourselves, we go too deep in this one.  Zack has all the sales numbers for Madonna's Sex book and describes it staring at him on the bookshelves for months.  We throw down the gauntlet and challenge the Razzies.  We find out that the writer of this movie also wrote the #2 movie on Zack's forbidden pantheon.  Zack tries to translate a 9th century Persian medical text to find out if you can snort peony root to calm your superpowered vagina.  We explore the lore of Willem Dafoe's member and Zack makes Jenny watch the only video evidence available.  She is too busy staring at his mustache to even bother with the peen.
