ForceChatter

Not much in the news this week, so we take this opportunity to break down the Rogue One trailer scene by scene.

The Force Awakens arrives in our homes! An Ahsoka novel is coming in October! A couple of characters may return for Episode VIII!  We give our thoughts on the Rebels season two finale!  Don't miss this episode of Echo Base!

Yup, that's the best title I could come up with. That's what happens when we go two weeks without Chris. But Lou and Erik are back this week to cover Funko's Smuggler Bounty easter egg that "echoes" a rare Kenner variant, the announcement that we'll be getting soundtracks for Rebels seasons one and two, changes coming in the LEGO The Force Awakens game, and "echoes" of questions sent in by listeners. (Huh. Maybe the episode title works well after all!)

Erik thinks Rogue One may succeed beyond our wildest dreams. Can Lou bring him back to his senses? Also, news on books and comics from C2E2!

Reports indicate Lucasfilm has narrowed its young Han Solo down to three candidates, and we talk about whom we'd choose. Also, ILM shows a trailer for a new VR experience, and Sony announces a VR-based Battlefront is in the works!

Abrams explains Chewie's snub, we go over our This Is Madness brackets, and more!

Echo Base arrives at its new home on the RandomChatter network! Join us as we discuss the upcoming Blu-ray exclusives, "Poe Dameron Day," a major way in which Episode VIII will be different from other Star Wars films, and much more!

This week we look back at the heroes and villains of the two existing trilogies and look forward at what may be to come in the current trilogy.

Chris and Erik discuss a certain someone rumored to possibly show up in future episodes of Rebels.

The Force Awakens has been an overwhelming success in every way. It's pretty safe to say Rogue One will be also... or is it? It's the first spin-off, the first with a different tone, and the first without the iconic main characters. What kind of struggles will it face? How will Lucasfilm handle the marketing and merchandising? And perhaps most importantly, how will the mainstream audience deal with a non-Skywalker Star Wars film?
