We dwell on the thought Jesus shares in John 16:7 where he says, "Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you."

We finish John 15 with Jesus sharing His challenge for the disciples (and all followers) to love one another as He has loved them.  He also prepares His disciples for persecution by explaining that the world is going to hate them.

Jesus shares the picture how He is the true vine and we are the branches.  We learn about the importance of abiding in Him.
