Happy February y'all! Yes it's the February episode and we're talking about resolutions. A little late? Maybe but we did it anyway. To be specific, we reviewed our resolutions from last year and whether they were successful or not. We also made some new ones for the remaining 10 months of this year because let's be honest a year is such a long time to be on our best behaviour :)
Happy New Year y'all! In this episode we are talking about consuming media in a different language. We all remember the great 2021 phenomena Squid Games, well we talk about what it was like watching it while being in Korea and what that did for our viewing experience. We talk about watching a musical in Korean even though we didn't fully know what was going on. And of course K-pop, listening to music in a different language can be fun but also tricky. That doesn't stop us though.
And don't forget you can see the full uncut episode on YouTube at Foreign Affairs Podcast.

Happy Holidays from Korea! Can you believe we’ve been doing this for a year? We can’t either but we’ve been loving every step of the process. In today's episode we compare Christmas in Korea to our western experiences. While Christmas is celebrated in Korea, it's actually considered a couple’s holiday! We look into what Christmas looks like for many Koreans and discuss how our traditions have changed since being in Korea. Join us by the fake fire with a bevvy of your choice.

So an incident happened about a month ago and we just had to talk about it. There have been a few times when being a foreigner is challenging but this one caught all 3 of us and we had different reactions and it brought up the idea of when should one conform to culture and when should one confront the situation? And of course we want to explore and respect the different cultures we encounter but when does it becomes a compromise of person rather than culture? That's the discussion here and we'd love to hear from you all too.

We're BACK baybeeeee! Sorry we took a few months off but busy schedules and soaking up the Korean sun stopped us from recording (I know first world problems) but now we are back for season 2 and more stories about living abroad as expats in Korea. Have we improved or grown as people? I don't know. Maybe? Maybe not? Is this still completely unsolicited? Yes and so we continue with some fun travel ideas for anyone wanting to visit the country and experience the various things that Korea has to offer.

A quick warning: This episode briefly mentions the topic of depression and suicide. More detailed information is given at the beginning of the episode.
Welcome to episode 7 y'all! In this episode we talk about the global phenomenon that is K-Pop music. We also have our 2nd guest speaker, Gina Long, who is our personal K-Pop expert. She essentially answers all our questions and helps us overcome our ignorance to the music the locals really like.

1 year of the Corona Virus and what have you done? Nothing well neither have we, and that's okay. This episode we talk about self motivation and how we suck at it. Led by our resident psychology major, Rachel, we try to identify why we don't do things, big or small.
We all said that being abroad was gonna be for just one year. Well about that...
This episode we talk about how to deal with being so far away from for such a long time. We also have our first guest speaker Ishanna Dow who we consider to be one of the veterans out here.
It's Valentine's Day! So we thought we would share our dating experiences (so far) in Korea. And as two straight white girls and one lesbian I think we have all bases covered.
This episode we review the year together sharing our ups and downs we experienced both personally and professionally. Also being the optimistic idiots we are, share our hopes for the 2021.
