Nottingham Forest are set to lose arguably their best player with Morgan Gibbs-White poised to join Tottenham Hotspur after they activated a shock £60m release clause, however, Forest are now threatening legal action to block the deal. The news comes at the same time as Anthony Elanga is set to go to Newcastle for £55m, leaving a huge hole in the Forest attack.

July 10, 2025 MORGAN GIBBS-WHITE TO JOIN SPURS? | NOTTINGHAM FOREST REPORTEDLY IN TALKS OVER £60M+ DEAL
Matt Davies is joined by Pete Blackburn and The Athletic's Paul Taylor as Nottingham Forest wait to discuss major breaking news just before we went live as David Ornstein of The Athletic reported Tottenham Hotspur are pushing to sign Morgan Gibbs-White. By the end of the stream the BBC's Sami Mokbel said a minimum £60m transfer is accelerating quickly.
We also touch on the likelihood Forest will play in the Europa League next season. All indications are they will, subject to appeals, after Lyon won their relegation appeal meaning Crystal Palace are set to be demoted to the Conference League.

Anthony Elanga is set to leave Nottingham Forest for Newcastle United (although this podcast was recorded before that news broke so you might want to skip from 6mins 30secs to 12mins or so). When he does go they will need a top quality replacement and at least one more winger with Ramon Sosa on the brink of joining Palmerias.
