The summer transfer window is over in the Premier League for the 2026/27 season. For Nottingham Forest there was a desire to sign a central midfielder before 11pm and there was been a huge push to bring in Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy with a £15m bid reportedly rejected. In the end the only business was on the outgoing front with Mortato and Zach Abbott joining West Ham and Southampton on loan respectively.

It's the penultimate day of the summer transfer window as Nottingham Forest look to finalise their Premier League squad. Daniel Munoz is set to sign and Jacob Murphy continues to be linked. Liverpool goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili is a new name in the frame after Crystal Palace rejected a bid for Dean Henderson, while a deal for Everton's Harrison Armstrong has fallen through after Everton fan unrest. On the outgoing front, Morato could join West Ham, Arnauld Kalimuendo looks a very possible departure, Omari Hutchinson will go to AC Milan on loan and Tyler Bindon has joined Charlton on loan. There has been weekend speculation over both Neco Williams and Ola Aina too.
