"Overcome" is used in John's epistle more than any other book or letter in the Bible. He assures that we are overcomers. Christ has overcome the world. In Christ, we also overcome the world

God is love. If He is in us, His love is in us. It should also be spilling out of us. This is how He longs to be known - by His love.

There were many false prophets in New Testament times, persuasive communicators They caused many to doubt whether Jesus was truly God in the flesh. The church had to be warned of them just as we do today.
