Typically we think about what Jesus did for us 2000 years ago, and surely He has done great things! But let us not forget what He is doing for us presently. Jesus is our help in time of need. He is the High priest that makes intercession for us. He is the captain of our salvation!

While Jesus was no angel, for a brief period in history He was made lower than angels. He become like us to die for us. Hebrews states, "God became flesh that He might taste death for all mankind.

What makes Jesus superior to angels? This was a question that came up in the early church. The author of Hebrews makes the case that Jesus is worthy of the worship and that angels are not, because Jesus is God.

We live in a culture fascinated with superheroes. The Book of Hebrews points to "The Greatest." His name is Jesus. This marks the beginning of our series, "Super Savior."
