Forever Exiled

We're back from our two week hiatus (in real life, not in podcast land) and we couldn't wait to catch up and chat about life and our favourite game. Trails of the Ancients is still going strong (Trials of the Ancestors), with updates, rewards, theory crafting...this game is so good, no matter how long you've played or how long you've been away. Bring on the re-rolling! Thanks, as always, for your marvellous ears. We love your faces. Thanks for spending time with us!

(Oh, right! Path of Exile, 3.22, Grinding Gear Games, & GGG.)

Welcome back, Octavian! It's episode 207 and we're so pleased to have Octavian back for another interview! This time around, he's working Quality Assurance at GGG and we couldn't wait to pepper him with questions regarding his career transition, new country, new place of employment, working QA on two games...and he was even willing to tackle some Path of Exile 2 questions for us! We always love having him the show and we're sure you do/will too! Thanks for joining us again, Octavian! And, thanks, everyone, for all of your support each week! We love your faces.

We're back! We'll we never actually left or anything, but we got back to our usual schedule today...kinda. Not really. But we got to talk about relevant subjects from the last two weeks of Path of Exile land! We ended up, as usual, going completely off topic from the .1 patch subjects, discussed Trails (Trials) of the Ancients (Ancestors) a ton, got back into Patch Land, got off topic again...it was so good we had to push content to 208. (Wait, this is 206. Pushing to 208? Whaaaaat?) We always have a great time nerding out and chatting PoE with you. GGG has put a ton of fixes into this league and we're excited to see what's in store. Thanks for being with us each week! You're the best 🥰 .

Screw the demo! We drove down to Seattle's PaxWest to visit with GGG employees and be nerdy! It was quite the trip and well worth while! The employees were happy to give fans their time, and loved talking about their games and experiences. We met a whole handful of employees, including the big wigs, and gleaned a lot of new info about both PoE 1 and 2 that we didn't already know! We have so much to say about the experience that the 3.22.1 patch will be discussed next week! Thanks for all of your listens each and every week. We hope you enjoy episode 205!

3.22 Trials of the Ancestors has now been out for 2 weeks and it seems that Path of Exile is almost happy with the balance of the game and new league mechanic. With only a few more gameplay changes in the works, GGG is overseas giving us more Path of Exile 2 teasers about the Druid and further PoE2 designs. We both had loaded Path of Exile weeks this week, along with a change of heart. Thanks for always hanging out with us as we discuss our favourite game. You make this happen!

What a week! So many changes and bug fixes for 3.22! We've had lots of things drive us bonkers, but we've also had so much fun! The new Atlas Passive Tree options, new Ascendancies, the Trials of the Ancestors gameplay, tattoos...it's been a really fun week (though, we are looking forward to some more improvements). Path of Exile and GGG have a lot on their hands with this league and we're excited to see where they go with it! Thanks for your listens each week! You're fantastic!

(I really wanted to put Trails of the Ancients in the title, but you know...) 3.22 Trials of the Ancestors is out! GGG's league that took 5 or 6 months to "fine-tune" is finally ready to go. The auto-bot league has begun and is sure to get better and better! Pull up a chair and drink and join us as we chat about our first foray into the new league. Thanks so much for your listens each week! 202 episodes is all thanks to you ❤️

It's time for another Patch Notes! This time, we have Brittleknee with us! It's been a while since our last league launch, longer than we're used to, and so there's tons of content to get to! 3.22's Trials of the Ancestors is one week away and GGG has given us lots to chat about! Even more so with PoE2's future in the distant horizon. Some of the patch notes are already old news because of ExileCon, but there's obviously enough new news that we could give you a nice long episode 😉. Thanks for joining us again, Brittleknee! And thank you to all of you for your listens each week! Have a great league launch!

There's still, so much to unpack from ExileCon 2023 that we'll likely be referring to it until its release date. Until then, it's uber nerd time! With GGG coming back to work on their ExileCon YouTube channel and 3.22's Trail of the Ancestors, we have lots of time to go over some of the conversations we've had with the community since the convention. Hopefully, you're enjoying your last week or two of 3.21's Crucible, or playing Path of Exile in Standard; 3.22 is just around the corner! Patch Notes next week!

(Also, it's episode 200! Thank YOU so much for all of your support and time. We don't release the shortest of episodes, so for you to take the time to listen to us for over an hour each week (2 hours for Patrons) is something we really appreciate. Thanks for giving us your time and support. You're the best!)

The new updates are finally here! There's been a long silence about Path of Exile 2 and it's finally time for some more reveals! There's so much to talk about with both the future of PoE 1 and the dream of PoE 2. 3.22's Trial of the Ancestors, ascendancy reworks, Sanctum going core...there's so much coming down the pipeline that we've been given stuff to talk about for a year to come. For those that went to the convention we hope you had a wonderful time. For those that watched the convention from home, we hope there was enough good and exciting news to mitigate the disappointing release date of Path of Exile 2. Thank you all for listening and congrats GGG on another convention!
